Installation Step A

Is the Dot Net Framework Already on my Computer?

If you are unsure if you have the Microsoft Dot Net Framework 1.1 installed on your computer, you can click on "Start" in the lower left or your desktop and then click on "Control Panel". In the Control Panel window, click on "Add/Remove Programs" and scroll down the list to find "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1". It will look like the image below if you click on it.

If this is in your Add/Remove Programs list you can skip Installation Step A and proceed to Step B.

Installation Step A Details:

After double clicking on the Step A download link you may see the image below. This will depend on you security settings. If you see this window click on "Save" to continue.

When asked where to save the file on you computer, save it to your desktop as shown below. Note that "Desktop" appears in the "Save in" window.

After the download is complete, you will see the Icon below on your desktop. Be sure that no other programs are running on your computer and then double click on this icon.

You may see the security warning below. Click on "Run" to continue.

The downloaded installation file will be automatically unzipped in to the folder "C:\_abot". In the window below click on "Finish" to allow the program to proceed.

You will see this window below when the files are unzipped.

After Unzipping the downloaded file the installation will begin. You will first see the windows below. Click on "Yes" to proceed.

When the window below appears, select the "I Agree" option and then click on "Install".

When the installation is complete, you will see the windows below. Click on "OK" and Installation Step A will be complete.
